# Family-to-family, on your side.

Kinpanion was founded in London, Ontario by two founders who'd navigated remote caregiving themselves. We built the calm, dependable platform that should already exist, and we built it as a London company, with a local concierge setup team.

Our brief, in one sentence: monitoring without watching. Whole-home safety that lets a parent age in place, without a camera feed in the bedroom, without a button to wear, and without the daily worry that doesn't quite go away between visits.

## What we believe

Most of senior tech tries to solve worry with more devices. We think it solves worry with the right kind of quiet. A camera nobody watches. A sensor your parent forgets is there. A phone that doesn't buzz unless something actually matters.

That's why on-device detection is the gate of our design. Why the bathroom and bedroom use sensors, never cameras. Why the Sleep plan is wellness only and never fall protection, because mistaking a wellness layer for a safety net leads to the wrong decisions.

We won't claim certifications we haven't earned. We won't pretend the system replaces clinical care or a neighbour checking in. We'll be straight about Wi-Fi requirements before order, and we'll be honest about what the system can and can't do today.

The point of all of this is that the device stays plugged in, your parent stays independent, and the drive between visits gets a little calmer.

Ben founded Kinpanion in London, Ontario after navigating remote caregiving for his own mother. He leads the customer service, family-care and concierge-setup team, focused on privacy-first, whole-home aging-in-place monitoring across Southwestern Ontario.

Dave is a Founder and Technology Lead of Kinpanion. With a background spanning healthcare technology and software engineering, he has spent his career building systems where reliability is the product. He leads the technical architecture, from the edge sensors in a senior's home to the cloud infrastructure that family members rely on.
