No. The Kinpanion camera does its detection on the device and shows you a privacy-safe stick figure of the moment that mattered. Never video, never a face. It's a camera you never watch.

Will it alert us if Mum can't reach a button?

Yes. Detection is passive and automatic, so there's no button for your parent to wear or press. If the system senses a fall or distress, it sends a push alert and a fall voice-escalation call. It's honest to note the system is Wi-Fi and home-based.

How much does it cost, and are there hidden fees?

Plans are one all-in monthly price in CAD: from $99/mo for the Camera plan, $49/mo for a hub plan, and $139/mo for the whole-home Complete system, plus a modest one-time concierge setup fee. The leased hardware, monitoring and app are all bundled, with no big upfront hardware cost.

Is there a trial before I commit?

Yes, a 7-day free trial. It starts when your devices are activated, not at checkout, and your first bill is on day 8. Cancel within the trial and you return the hardware with no monthly charged (the setup fee is retained).

Is it hard to set up?

No. It's set up for you. Devices arrive pre-configured, and a guided concierge setup call gets the system live and shows you what your mum will see. It's a light, hands-off setup, not a truck-roll installation.

What happens to the data, and do you sell it?

We never sell your data. Devices are leased, and on cancellation they're reclaimed and factory-wiped, with derived health data purged. We describe our practices honestly (encrypted, classified and purged on cancel) and we don't make compliance certifications we haven't earned yet.
