Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kinpanion services. By ordering or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

Kinpanion provides privacy-first, whole-home senior monitoring including some combination of fall detection, exit alerts, bathroom and bed-leaving sensors, and wellness trends, depending on the plan selected. Hardware is leased; software, monitoring, and the family app are provided as a subscription service.

What the service is — and isn't

The service supports aging in place and provides early signals to the family. It does not replace clinical care, home health visits, or in-person family check-ins. We make no diagnostic or clinical claims. The Sleep plan is wellness only and is never a substitute for fall protection.

Wi-Fi and home requirements

The service requires home Wi-Fi connectivity. During a full network or power outage, the service will not deliver alerts. We walk through the home's connectivity during concierge setup so families can plan accordingly.

Pricing and billing

Plans are billed monthly in CAD. The 7-day free trial starts at device activation, not checkout. Your first bill is on day 8 of the trial. A modest one-time concierge setup fee applies per plan; the setup fee is retained if you cancel within the trial.

Cancellation and hardware return

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Leased hardware is reclaimed and factory-wiped upon cancellation; derived health data is purged. Hardware not returned within 30 days of cancellation may be billed at its replacement cost.

Limitation of liability

Kinpanion is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. The service does not guarantee detection of every safety event and is provided on a "supports, does not replace, clinical care" basis.

Changes to the service

We may update the service, including software features and plan composition, from time to time. Material changes affecting active subscribers will be communicated in advance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
